A Step Toward Truth: That’s TV Lancashire Retracts Inaccurate Video Featuring APAs Elaine Toland

We welcome the recent and responsible decision by That’s TV Lancashire to retract their Facebook video segment featuring Elaine Toland of Animal Protection Agency.

That’s TV Lancashire published the video without contacting us. A lapse in journalistic process since acknowledged by the broadcaster.

Upon becoming aware of the issue, we contacted That’s TV Lancashire who responded promptly. They not only removed the video from their platform but also issued an apology for the oversight and lack of communication prior. We recognise and appreciate this constructive response.

It is heartening to see a broadcaster take accountability for their content. Their decision demonstrates a commitment to ethical journalism and respect for the truth. Values we believe are essential, especially when dealing with subjects that carry public interest and potential reputational implications.

We thank That’s TV Lancashire for taking these corrective steps. We hope this incident serves as a reminder to all media outlets of the importance of due diligence, accuracy, and open dialogue. The IHS also extends their appreciation to those who helped bring this matter to light and ensured a fair resolution.
